Let us first start by saying, THANK YOU for being a great customer!! We started this mist tanning business in 2004 when sunless tanning was fairly new, and were so encouraged to see such an interest in mist tanning. We are elated and blessed that our mist tanning business has continued to grow every year, this year being our best so far!  Of course, we feel the pinch of the economy none-the-less, because things could always be better, but we are so happy that we are surviving the worst of financial times… so THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!

Our tans are better than ever!! About two years ago, we began our quest to find a new tanning solution that would not only give a great tan, but also be good for your skin. We eventually found a solution that was almost perfect, and learned that we could add additional ingredients to give it that extra punch of color and the perfect the level of instant bronzing. We truly believe that we have perfected our solution for our booth to please a broad range of clients…

Our regular customers agree that this solution is better than ever, and that tans last longer than with our original solution. I personally can get 7-10 days out of my tans (when using my Extender lotion)!

 Many of our clients are hooked on the Double Shot! For just $5, you can mist tan again the day after your initial session. It’s great for adding a little more color or just evening out.

We added Airbrush Tanning in early 2009, and were pleasantly surprised at how that business took off! With meticulous attention to detail and customizable application, a FLAWLESS tan is now EFFORTLESS! 

We also added nail services in 2010, and have been very pleased with the huge response to Shellac Gel Polish! If you love the look of manicured nails but hate the upkeep of traditional polish, Shellac is for you!   (Google Shellac nails and read all about the “2-week manicure” that doesn’t harm your nails!)

Just had to share that two of my regular tanners have started using socks to “buff” or blend their tan after using the spray booth. They both say the results are better than using the standard wash cloth provided. 

If you feel like giving this a try, just bring an old sock or two (better to have two so that you don’t have to switch hands while drying) to your next session. After tanning, slip a sock over each hand and use your socks to buff in the solution.

I have to be honest.. Its 5am and I am up because I just couldn’t stand myself any longer.

For what seems like hours, I have been tossing and turning, unable to sleep well because of my “tanning smell.” Finally, I decide to get up and do something about it and I wonder if my clients know about this miracle product. Inspiration for this blog post hits and there is no going back.

The miracle product that I am talking about is a spray that actually neutralizes that unpleasant self-tanning odor. Some people experience it more than others and some people are more sensitive to it than others. I feel that I am probably on the “more” side of both.

Anyway, you can spray this product on 30 minutes after you tan and again as needed throughout your tan. I usually use it on the day of my tan and then the next day too as even after a shower, the smell can linger.

This spray is not perfume and does not cover with another scent but really just neutralizes the tanning odor and cuts that self-tanning smell.

At Mandalay Mist, we do use low-odor solutions but some smell is inevitable as the odor is caused by the tanning of the skin, not from the product that is on the skin. Next time you are in, ask about the spray Neutralizer. It’s just $19 and will last for months (I think I’ve had mine for over a year).
